In spite of all my flaws, I am convinced that Jesus loves me. I don’t know why He loves me so, but I am so grateful. Because Jesus loves me, I have learned to love myself. I love myself because of what His word says about me. He says I am blessed and highly favored. He says I am the head and not the tail. He says I am the light of the world. He says I am a royal priesthood, and a holy nation. How can I not love myself when I believe who He says I am, and He created me. I love me. I embrace me. I love being black, and I love everything about being black. Yes, Jesus loves me, and I love me because He loves me.
Today is Good Friday – the day Jesus was arrested, tried, and crucified. I love this scripture:
“Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.”
John 10:17-18 KJV
Today I glean from the words of Jesus, and I decree and declare that nobody or nothing can take my life! God gave it to me, and cancer can’t take it, heart disease can’t take it, diabetes can’t take it, satan can’t take it. I will not lay down my life to depression, anger, fear, unbelief, pride, discouragement, guilt, shame, unforgiveness, bitterness or anything else. I have power, God’s power to take my life back over all these things. I shall live and not die! Abundant life is my portion!! This good news I have received from my PAPA, and I believe it and receive it in the powerful name of Jesus! Amen!!!
God’s idea for us is to bear abundant fruit for His glory. The fruit He desires we bear is the fruit of His spirit (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, gentleness, meekness, temperance, faith). The only way we can bear the fruit of His spirit is to abide in Him, and allow Him to abide in us through His Holy Spirit.
Just as Jesus abided in the father, and the father in Him, we must abide in the vine (Jesus) to be productive. Jesus is the perfect example for us to follow and learn how to abide and bear fruit. Everything the father asked Jesus to do he did. He finished it, and He is still bearing fruit today through every believer in the earth. Jesus taught us that He and the father are one. They were in perfect unity and agreement. Jesus never went off on his own doing his own thing. He stayed connected to His vine, the father, and this is how He was able to carry out His assignments.
Jesus is the source of our life. He provides the nutrients, energy, and power we need through His Spirit living in us to produce Christlikeness, which is His will for each of us. All we have to do is abide in Him, and allow Him to abide in us through His spirit. He will produce the fruit in us.
Let us die to self, so that we no longer produce the fruit the flesh produces. Stay connected to the vine and kill the works of the flesh. Disconnection from the vine leads to spiritual death, and the inability to produce anything that lasts. Let it not be so with us, the children of God. Let us produce abundant fruit that remains for the glory of God.
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
John 15:5 KJV
This year of 2016 let’s be real, authentic Christians. Let’s not just talk about God and how good He is and how blessed we are, but let’s live it out in our lives each and every day for all to see. Let our lifestyle, actions, behavior, and words speak about who God is in us.
Enough of the phony and fake Christians out there. Enough offering up phony and fake praise and worship to God. He is not interested in it. It’s a foul odor in his nostrils.
Let our sacrifices of praise and worship, and our lifestyle be a sweet smelling aroma in His nostrils. One that He will come and consume.
Let’s bear fruit to the glory of God. Let’s become more and more Christ-like every day bearing the fruit of the spirit > love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, gentleness, meekness, temperance, and faith. Let’s be conformed to the very image of Christ, so that others can see Him through us and be drawn to Him to receive salvation by grace through faith.
Let’s be real, authentic Christians for the glory of God. It’s possible when we abide in Him, and He abides in us. John 15
Happy New Year!
Although God unleashed me from a spirit of fear don’t think the enemy of my soul doesn’t try bury me in a grave of fear again.
However, I am determined to stay unleashed. When the enemy assaults me with his lies, I assault him with the truth of God’s word. I shout with everything in me, “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but He has given me power, love, and a sound mind.” I keep on shouting it until the enemies voice is drowned out, and my heart soars with faith in God’s word.
I will never go back into that grave again!
God has given us what we need to stay unleashed. It’s up to us to skillfully and boldly use His powerful word!
Never allow your current circumstances make you forget who you are and whose you are. Your identity is secure in Christ. You are who He says you are regardless of your circumstance. That’s why the word says, “let the weak say I am strong, and let the poor say I am rich.” (Job 3:10)
Be secure in your identity in Christ no matter what. The more secure you are, the faster you will get to victory over your circumstance. Declare the truth of the word over your circumstance until your change comes!
For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
Luke 1:37 KJV
What do you need God to do for you during this season of supernatural miracles? He parted the Red Sea? He impregnated a virgin. He fed the Israelites manna from heaven. He caused water to spring forth from a rock. He raised Jesus from the dead. Is there anything too hard for God? What do you need?
