God Speaks in the Night

I had a dream last night where I was at a park and there were lots of people and animals around. I was standing on a stage like area, and all of a sudden I could see satan enter into all the animals. I saw monkeys, chimps, Tigers, Cougars and suddenly they started lunging, leaping, growling, and hissing at us.

I began to scream, “JESUS IS LORD,” over and over and over again. I was turning my head looking at the animals and screaming JESUS IS LORD. A tiger started charging me and I backed up and continued shouting JESUS IS LORD OVER YOU! The tiger kept growling and coming toward me, but he never attacked me.

The animals never leapt on anyone, scratched anyone, or bit anyone. They simply growled, screeched, hissed, and bared their teeth. Isn’t this what satan does to us? Bible says he goes around seeking whom he may devour. Unfortunately some of us cower to satans growling, hissing, and screeching, rather than taking authority over him, and using the most powerful force against him, which is the word of God!

I’m encouraged by this dream because it illustrates that we really do have power to subdue the enemy. Jesus gave it to us. In Luke 10:19, Jesus said he has given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt us.

Whatever you’re going through, if satan is attacking you, don’t cower. Stand your ground and skillfully use the word of God to defeat satan. Put the word of God in your mouth and shout it with all your might because it’s quick (living) and powerful, and it will back satan all the way up and off of you. Remember, Jesus has given us the victory!

Love,

Miss Terri

What’s All This Dreaming About

I must have anywhere from 5-6 dreams per night. What’s more, I remember my dreams in detail. Some of them are quite exciting, and some quite disturbing to say the least.

Have you ever had the same dream over and over and over again? I sure have, and I am convinced God speaks to us through dreams. God used dreams to communicate with His children in the old and new testaments, and I believe He uses them to communicate with us today.

I noticed that so many of my dreams were coming to pass, so I started keeping a dream log and dating all my dreams. I also noticed that many of my dreams were dealing with issues in my life. I started doing a little research and reading about biblical dream interpretation. I want to share with you what I have gleaned.

Dreams are like parables. The meaning is hidden and it has to be uncovered. I believe God speaks to our spirit man when we dream, and He doesn’t want our soul man to know what He is showing us. I believe we get so distracted and busy doing life that many times we are unable to hear from God. Hence, the dreams.

Dreams are either symbolic or literal. My dreams are usually full of symbols. I may see colors, animals, buildings, numbers, people, cars etc. All of these things are symbolic of something in dreams. For example, I had a whole series of dreams that were dealing with fear in my life. I had a dream where I was standing in my garage and I looked down and a big snake was coming toward me. In the dream I heard the Lord say “bruise his head.” I stomped on his head, but it rose up again. The Lord kept telling me to bruise his head, and I kept stomping on his head, but he kept rising up again, and I woke up. Immediately, I knew the snake was symbolic of the enemy, and that God was showing me that the enemy keeps coming back again and again, and we have to keep bruising his head until he flees. God was also showing me that the enemy cannot prevail against me. He will definitely come against me, but he cannot win.

I had so many dreams where the enemy was shown to me as a snake, a bear, a bull etc and each time he was trying to destroy me, but he could not. In each dream I prevailed against him. I love those dreams because they helped to build my faith in God’s holy word, and to deliver me from a spirit of fear.

I had a dream where I was out in the middle of the ocean, and these huge waves were overwhelming me. I knew it was the end and I was going to drown. However, in the dream I saw myself coming back up after each wave. I had a dream where a bear got into my cabin in the mountains and was coming after me. All of a sudden the bear got all caught up and tied up in the telephone cord and tripped and fell and could not get to me. Hahaha! I woke up after that. I had another dream where I was in bed and a bunch of imps (demons) started coming through the walls and door of my bedroom. They were trying to get into my physical body. I began to say “you can’t come in here, Jesus lives here.” I kept saying it over and over and over again. The imps all turned and fled back through the walls and door of my bedroom, and I could hear them running down the hall out of my front door. And, then I woke up. Through all of these series of dreams, the Lord was showing me to not be afraid of the enemy because He is with me and has me covered and protected.

I could go on and on and on about the dreams I’ve had, but we would be here all night. I just want you to pay attention to your dreams. Pray over them. Ask God to show you what your dreams mean. Usually they are dealing with something or some issue God wants you to address. They often warn us about what the enemy wants to do, give us instruction, or show us what’s to come.

I also noticed that I was dreaming a lot about other people and what was going on in their lives. I began to intercede in prayer for them. For example, one night I dreamed my niece was on fire. She was burning up right before my eyes in the dream. I woke up very disturbed and glanced at the clock. It was 3:00 am, and I began to pray for her. The next day I called my sister and told her about the dream, and she told me at the very time I awoke from the dream my niece was burning up with a fever! Don’t tell me God doesn’t use dreams to communicate with us, to help us, to guide us, to warn us, and to use us to pray for others. Pay attention to your dreams. Write your dreams down and pray over them. Ask God for the interpretation of your dreams.

Our God is simply amazing, and He can use whatever means He chooses to communicate with us. So, what’s all this dreaming about? It’s about God and you and your life and His will.
